I am available for private lessons, both locally in Northern Colorado, and via the Internet. If you have a MIDI sequencer and keyboard, let's talk. Contact me for additional info. I accept students of any age or level, from beginner to professional. The only prerequisite is a passion for music. I specialize in jazz and contemporary music, and in particular, the art of improvisation, using the piano/keyboard as the primary instrumental focus. I also teach jazz harmony, arranging and composition privately. I have taught privately in the SF Bay Area for many years, as well as having taught classes and workshops in Piano Harmony, Extreme Listening and Vocalist/Accompanist classes at the Jazzschool in Berkeley, as well as other educational institutions. I have been on the faculty at Colorado Mountain College, Alpine campus, in Steamboat Springs, CO, where I taught a full complement of music courses. I have also been on the faculty of Jazz Camp West in La Honda, CA, and have taught at the Perry Mansfield School of Performing Arts in Steamboat Springs.
